This program revolves around the cantata La Pazza Venuta da Napoli, composed around 1630. A woman, driven mad by a disappointed love, wanders between delirious narratives and heart-rending songs.
Les Kapsber’girls — blending music, staging, and improvisation — bring to life this tragicomic figure straight out of the Commedia dell’Arte. Around Giramo’s work, vocal pieces by Strozzi and Kapsberger enrich the picture in the extended version of the concert.
